DIGITECH: Transcending Boundaries in Digital Education and Sustainability

The DIGITECH Platform and its Toolbox were developed through transnational collaboration. The digital resources on the Platform follow extensive consultations with stakeholders throughout the EU, taking into account current and future needs of school teachers and students in terms of digital skills and sustainability education. 

During the first phase of the project, the digital skills, challenges and needs of school teachers and students following the COVID-19 crisis were assessed through quantitative and qualitative surveys and interviews. Also, an assessment of the knowledge of sustainability-related content was conducted. In this phase, the EU DigCompEdu Framework and the Erasmus+ VED-TEDD self-assessment tool were used. These evidence-based reports were evaluated and a transnational report was developed. This report constitutes the foundation of the Digitech project. The report was used to design the Digitech Toolbox and to develop its educational content. The Digitech Toolbox was launched in July 2023. Today teachers and educators can navigate through a user-friendly, intuitive, and visually appealing Platform.
